What does it mean to distance oneself? And from what or whom? A poetic and personal exploration of different forms of withdrawal, the longing for the distant, and the fine line between being alone and loneliness.

In cooperation with Edition Moderne and the graduating class of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, an anniversary publication was created for the Aprillen reading festival in Bern.

Some of my illustrations for the text by Noemi Somalvico were used for this publication. The story is about a holiday in Italy that is slowly coming to an end and the feeling of independence and loneliness.
